Title: STROBE-nut: how do we move on from here? A presentation and
discussion about development, application and future of reporting guidelines in
nutrition.
Speaker: Professor Carl
Lachat from Department of Food Safety and Food
Quality, Ghent University, Belgium. He has a focus on nutrition with a special
interest in methodology, healthy diets, and vulnerable populations, including
those in low- and middle-income countries.
STROBE
stands for STrengthening the Reporting of
OBservational studies in Epidemiology" and "Nut" indicates that this is an
extension for nutritional epidemiology. STROBE-nut is a guideline that helps
researchers report findings of nutritional epidemiological studies.
The
STROBE-nut guidelines were published in 2016 after collaborative work by a
consortium of researchers led by Professor Lachat. The
consortium included seven members of the Network in Epidemiology and Nutrition
(NEON).
